The New Mexico Media Arts Collective is here to support existing and emerging media talent in the State of New Mexico, consistently recognized as “one of the best places to live and work as a moviemaker” by MovieMaker Magazine since 2018. We are dedicated to supporting graduates of our academic partner institutions in a thriving media landscape by fostering safety consciousness, sustainable growth, and meaningful connections with our industry partners and media collective in the State of New Mexico.

Governor Lujan Grisham, with support from state legislators and the City of Albuquerque, has allocated $40 million in capital and operating funds to build studio facilities that bolster workforce development for the state’s booming film and television industry. This collective will help deploy these resources to address the growing need for professional training as New Mexico continues to flourish as a media hub.

This online curriculum supplements existing educational programs by covering large-scale production practices often overlooked in traditional coursework, ensuring trainees an opportunity to hit the ground running and to achieve “day one” success on set. By equipping emerging professionals with vital skills, safety protocols, and best practices, this program supports the Collective’s mission of sustainable growth and meaningful collaboration throughout New Mexico’s dynamic media landscape.
